Default Need Help.

Hey everyone!

I am very much in need of some help. I just reformatted my computer by using my windows xp cd, and now I have no sound, video card isnt working properly, etc. How do I find out which drivers I need to install? because I lost all my cd's that came with my computer. And, once I do download a driver, what do I do with it? I remmeber trying to do this before, but once I downloaded the drivers, they are in a wierd format of file type and and I dont know what to do with it.

So I need someone to help me with the steps after you have reformatted a computer using the windows xp cd.

Can someone please help me?
BTW, I have everest home, and I dont know how to use it.

Thanks,
Macsire

did u build this comp or was it prebuilt?

do u happen to know the specs of the hardware you are trying to find drivers for?

most drivers are self executable, once you download them, you execute them and they are pretty basic after that

just a tip, next time you reformat windows, make sure you have all the drivers ready pre-format

Model please? You'll need USB, GFX, Sound, Chipset, RAID (maybe).

go here
http://support.asus.com/download/dow...l=P5K%20SE
download the drivers you need make sure you download the ones that are for your operating system i.e. windows xp 32bit, windows xp 64bit ,vista 32bit or vista 64bit,
when you have downloaded them open them up and there will be a fair amount of files you want to look for the one that says asus setup click that one and install. hope that helped
