Default Need a game to pass the time.

Hey guys! I just finished F.E.A.R. Extraction Point two days ago(I'm such a loser.). Myself, like you guys is waiting for the new games to come out. November is the month where all the good games come out. I just need something to pass the time as I'm on a three week semestral break from college.

P.S. : I'm not a RTS gamer. I like playing FPS, Racing and Sports games(preferably basketball).

For free, try the UT3 Beta Demo! Or the Cod4 demo!

For monies, I suggest either Bioshock or Stalker.

Yes! Orange box, I forgot that was out, best deal ever.

by todays standards bioshock is one of the less demanding games, due to it being tuned for use on the xbox360 it requires much less graphical power and such

Yesh, exactly. PC gaming is different from Console gaming in that consoles have less power than pc's, this is most true in their mid-late life. To keep console games looking fresh, to keep people wowed, they really have to work with what they are provided with, they can't just increase texture size all willy-nilly, can't add an unoptimized parallax mapping, can't utilize normal mapping the same way PC games do. They make very, very optimized games, and manage to make them look great as well. Bioshock being multi-platform, Pc and console, has done wonders for it's playability on all types of machines.

I'm happy
