I noticed recently that I have a smell from my general power supply area. Not like a burnt plastic smell, just like a warm/hot plastic smell (If that makes any sense). But I remember back to my DELL (I hate to even say the name of that company) and I recall a similar smell from it's power supply too when it was on for some time...
My thinking is that power supplies in general have a lot of transformers and plastic wires in a confined space, and that they get warm and generate this smell... But I'm of course paranoid. Does anyone else notice this sort of smell from their power supplies? Haha, anybody want to put their noses to the box for me? Thanks,-Tim |
