Default Executable

Hi

I am having a problem with computers at school. The problem is that the admin. has disabled executing EXE file and even copying them to the local drive.
It is possible to run executables from a flash mem. but it is not so handy. I ve tried to change the extention of the file to (EXE2) so Windows dont spot it but as I soon as I try to change it back to EXE it does not change.

Is there some way how to hide the EXEs from the Windows so they dont disable executing and placeing them on the local drive?

Thank you for your time...

What are you trying to install? It seems if they put something on the system to keep it from running executable files, then they dont want you running them on their computers...

If you want to be able to run exe from a flash drive and make it convenient make a shortcut.

There is always a reason if you try to get around it you will end up getting in more trouble....I know when i worked at the local highschool as an intern if we caught it we would disable their access for 10 days first time and 30 the 2nd and the 3rd for a whole year aka if they were enrolled in any classes they failed so i would be really careful. Also there are several posts in this that are very questionable...

I agree, I would not be messing with something like that. I assume your in high school or something? Maybe a public computer? In any case, just dont do it because installing msn messenger or something stupid is not worth getting caught.

Another thing too if you are just installing a game or a messanger most networks will block those too so heres my viewpoint on that why risk installing it just to see you cannot use it in the end. Also if it is blocked most firewalls log it and send it to the network admin with the computer and logged in user and bingo guess what you are caught.... Wouldnt risk it if i was you...
