Vista processing
I rebooted windows vista into my computer and I have this old version of windows thing. When I open my taskmanager It says I have like 45 processes running when it only shows about 10. Whats going on?

I built the computer from scratch, started with vista then switched to XP but back to vista again.

You need to select "show processes from all users".

yeah but its crazy cause most of that stuff is just from the network or client stuff and I don't know what to get rid of cause it doesn't tell you what any of the stuff is.

There are alot more then 10 processes that need to me running. Go to start > run > msconfig and disable all the programs and services you dont want to run on startup.
