Default Should I get this sound card?

Hello all

I currently have a Diamond xtreme sound card 7.1/24 bit sound card. IM looking to upgrade to this soundcard

what do you guys think? Should I upgrade to this soundcard? any advices/recommendations around the price range would be greatly appreciated!

Personally I would not stray to a name brand I don't recognize. I would go with a Creative Labs SoundBlaster card. You never know what you are going to end up with with some of these less well known obsure cards. You can get a good S.B card for about the same money and will know exactly what you are getting. Not to mention the amount of support after the sale is going to be much better. The S.B card will likely sound better if you were to put them side by side.

but I heard about a lot of problems with creative's sound blaster cards. I heard that they have bad drivers, bad updates and people who had them hated them. What do you guys think?

The only bad thing I've heard about the Sound Blaster is some problems a few months ago about Vista drivers. Not sure if that's been corrected, but if you're not using Vista it's not a problem.
