I'm pretty sure the onboard audio on the 680i set is really good, I really don't think you will notice anything different.

The Audigy SE is a decent sound card, and you may notice a bit of a difference if you have decent speakers. However I would save yourself an extra PCI slot and just use onboard, at least until you can get a better sound card.

Okay it seems that it is to late to return this sound card, but i am sure i will make good use of it in my other computer. Thanks for your replies, much appreciated.

I would like to compare the two audio devices, is there a program to try this?
