The X2 5600 runs cooler and at 89W and will clock as good as the 6000, all of the 5600 I have installed will go to 3.0 without a voltage increase.

Wait until AMD comes out with the X4's and Intel comes out with the 45nm's. Then the prices should drop and you can base your decision on that.

Since AMD set the 5600 as a 89 watt model and less voltage I would say the 5600 is a better yield cores than the 6000 since its a 125 watt model because the 5600 clocks easy to 3.0 without a voltage increase. I would skip the 6000 all togeather and get either the 5600 or the 6400

i have allways been a fan of AMD.... but right now, intel has the field.... allways go to the cpu charts on tomshardware.... if you like a certain X2, see what the next fastest intel is, then check the price on it... if its cheeper then the x2 you chose, then choose the intel... its its more, go with the x2

X4's? AMD hasnt even released their tri-core models yet, so dont expect quad-core desktop processors to be available well into 2008.

Did you say "allways go to the cpu charts on tomshardware" ?

Those GPU and CPU charts on tomshardware are not reliable in my opinion and they contradict a lot with other reviews

I would never go to the CPU or GPU charts on tomshardware
