When moving the drive from the Dell into the present case you will have to clean it up and end up removing the hidden recovery data as well as all drivers provided by Dell for the model you have. In other words a total wipe of that drive to see a clean copy of Windows go onto it.
From then on you can reinstall Windows without a total wipe if problems like a bad install should happen. That drive or another sata model shouldn't see any real problems other then that. Is the one from the Dell another 250gb or smaller? The other option is simply grabbing a replacement to leave the Dell intact. |
