The truth is that Linux is one of the biggest threats to human creativity worldwide Some of you will find that statement remarkable, but it is true. As Microsoft's CEO Steve Ballmer has said, "Linux is cancer." Ken Brown of the Alexis de Tocqueville Institution has said that: "Linux is a leprosy; and is having a deleterious effect on the U.S. IT

well well, I do understand, it's just that MS is loosing out way to much customers, especially now with windows vista out with so much flaws, people find a free alternative (free of viruses too).
I was one amongst the lot which moved to linux around 2006 but i came back to windows for one simple reason.
the work i do cannot be carried out by linux.
But seeing (in my country), linux gets a massive share amongst home users, not IT or Work people.
Have to say Linux is not evil it's just a good OS.

While this thread belongs more in the off topic section Linux is a threat to a monopoly. Windows and Apple/Mac have been rhe two leaders with MS the largest for too long. The growing popularity of Linux threatens the MS giant! "we can't have that now can we!"

sure we can. lf windows were to actually put some good stuff in there os, like much more opensource it would be better but the ability to have a free os that is stable (besides wireless ) and has web server, sql, php, samba etc all installed is a huge benefit that nether mac or windows have yet incorporated into there os.

Well you don't have to add all the commands, just some of the basic ones.
I'm challenging someone to do it. (If Ian allows of course).
