hello
This is not so much a problem just a thread to be discussed. I am talking about Windows cookies I dont really know how does in other OS cookies work (probably same) If someone saves to his cookies his name and password to random webpage and I copy those cookies to my flash drive does it mean I own his complete log-in? Isnt it a bit dangerous? Maybe I am wrong And if so please correct me? If not what do you think about that. |

Cookies are a short of a software which the server installes when you open some pages for their informayion like remebering your login id and password your locl date and time your browser etc.
These are in an encrypted form so there are no security risk. But there are many who can evev spoil your cookies so use a good frewall to secure ur connection.

Most websites that use sessions and thus cookies, terminate the login if you close the browser window, which means you can't use the data in the old cookie again, you will be assigned a fresh cookie with different details if you login again. If you're referring to actually stealing someone's info like username and password from a cookie then (as previously mentioned) you wouldn't be able to understand the data anyway.

The cookies are encrypted for basic view in notepad... But not for certain internet explorer view...
I meant If I retrieve cookies from computer A and put those into computer B they will be read by the Explorer in same way as in computer A... Naturally the internet explorer on A and B computer must be equal... Isnt it like this possible? |
