New living room.

Well, family and I have been working on improving the living room for awhile now, and I think we've finally finished it. Here is the progress. We're very happy with the way it turned out.

I must say, I'm in love with that surround sound. VERY nice quality. =]
If my one gig card didn't die on the computer, I'd take a good video. I might try for a shorter one though. It's nothing compared to car systems, obviously.

That blue carpeting was pretty butt ugly! Now it looks great with the hardwood floor.

My wife and I are going to be doing that in a couple of months.

I hope you have a different way to get to the back yard, since you blocked the patio doors.

The flooring is almost a type of hardwood. It's laminate, actually. A lot cheaper, and looks good, but doesn't last nearly as long as pure hardwood.

And yeah, we do have a way, don't worry. Can always move the trunk over a bit if we need to get out that way. The doors will soon be sealed up for winter.

In my opinion, I find it to be a great surround sound system. We have it hooked to the Hi Def receiver and pretty much everything else.

look good, i like the colour. Very warm and inviting.

I love the floor, you can tell its laminate but its one of the best laminates I've ever seen, as long as you look after it and dont spil anything on it, it will last ages. Water will swell the joints and make the picture seperate from the mdf/combi board backing.

The chest is cool too

And sorry! I liked your idea so much I thought I'd give it a try.

It is a very warm and inviting feel as soon as you walk in.

We're taking extra cautions with the laminate, since our little white dog has weird bladder problems as of late. Half the reason we got rid of the carpet was because of him.
