I know theres another similair post asking for ideas for a god sound card but that user had XP running, Im doing Vista. I have a 7.1 Creative Labs surround sound system and I want to get the best out of them. So what would the best option be that is Vista compatible?

Depends on your budget. Creative and Diamond models are both suited for both XP and Vista. For Creative the Xtreme Gamer is seen for about $80 while the higher end Fatality and Fatality Platinum models include a 5 1/4" drive bay panel and run over $200 at times. Right now newegg has $10 off seen on the Gamer model at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16829102006
