Greetings - first time post -
Here's my scenario - my former employer gave me a server it was the domain controller and the data server for our company- it's real beast (about 5 years old) - has 4 swapple hard drives, etc. It was custom configured by PC on call. Anyways, I want to format the hard drive (s) and re-install windows server2003 (it has server 2000 already installed). I have a valid licensed copy of server2003 (won at a microsoft event as a door prize) I do not have any login information so I have to go to dos during powering up. My questions are these - 1. Do I need to create a startup disk before I format the hard drive? 2. If so, - how? I have a cd-rom drive and a 3.5" floppy drive. 3. If not, what command do I need to format the hard drive(s) - remember I have multiple hard drives - RAID1 and RAID5 are installed - |
