So I have had this Alienware M7700 laptop for about 2 and a half years now. About a year ago, there was a spill of sugary substance on my keyboard. Then it began malfunctioning. I expected it to happen and I have been looking for a solution since. The ESC key randomly goes on a fritz (happening much more regularly recently) and the computer acts as if someone is rapidly pressing the ESC key over and over again. Unfortunately, this is extremely difficult to deal with since all of a sudden, without warning, all my applications will start closing.
I have repeatedly cleaned both the keyboard AND the computer chassis, there is no gunk left. I guess the question is how do I fix this problem? I assume its not a BIOS or software problem? |
