its socket 939..

the AM2 FX's aren't better than the 5200/5600/6000/6400.. they are overpriced and low performers

The enitre FX seires has a unlocked multiplier, voltage, everything. It is the ultimate CPU for PC enthusiats. The Clawhammer core for Socket 939 has excellent overclocking abilities. I would buy it if I had the money.

Very much so. The money is going to be used completely on a new CPU, motherboard, and memory. Probably a Core 2 Duo E6550, Gigabyte P35 DS3R, and 2GB DDR2 800.

EDIT: now we are going to get the E6750, P35 MSI Neo2, 2GB DDR2 800

It ended at $310. It looked like it was going to go up higher, too bad it didnt get any higher the last few hours though.
