Default Thermal Grease

i took my Pentium fan off my Pentium on my motherboard ... do i need to take the old thermal grease off and put new on?? or am i fine??

you took the big chunk of metal off or just the fan?

if you took the metal off it would be good to reapply TIM (thermal interface material) or grease.

if you dont have any it doesnt matter unless its hardened.

Thermal paste doesnt cost much...at least the stuff i used (uh oh)
It was 1.50$ at local computer shop.
Im sure it doesnt hurt to re-apply as long as theres not too much on there.
