yes I agree with him. Once I read in a book, that its much better if you turn off the light and put the bag in the tank for 5 min. then let some of the water come into the bag, wait another 5 min and then empty the bag. Its good for both the new environment, water temp. and water quality. did you observe him after you put him in the tank? what did he do/react?
are you sure that the fish was healthy when you bought it?
