Default Computer Restart Loop After Bios Screen

My company just purchased an Asus 690G along with some other parts from PC Connection to build a computer. When the computer boots up, it gets to the bios and then restarts, this happens on an infinite loop. The person who put it together said he tried changing out the RAM to no avail. I'm about to send the motherboard back but I would like some opinions on what else it could be rather than a faulty motherboard.

Asus boards are notorious for having problems with Ram timings. If you can get to the bio's then manually set the timings for your ram. Check to see what your ram should be from the manufacture, and set the timings and voltage to the stock ram settings.

Also, what version 690G board do you have. The P2-M2A690G, V2-M2A690G or the V3-M2A690G.

It makes a difference on what ram is compatible with what version.

And it seems that the asus 690G supports Supports 1.8v DDR2 SDRAM DIMM modules, so make sure your ram is 1.8V.
