basically socket 754 doesn't have dual channel support and 939 does.

Also socket 754 has become their crappy processor socket because none of amds good processors come out on socket 754 anymore, all you can get is semprons and up to amd64 3700+ (i think). Finnally amd's dual core processors are going to be 939 pins.

There's five MoBos on that page, and 769 more pages, which one are you refering to?

Get one with the nForce4 chipset, Asus comes to mind.

Ouch! LOL I suppose I understand what you mean although i feel that my pc is way far from having a "crappy processor".

Basicly ya though the diff. would be the support for duel channel memory which is on the newer.

Oh an 691175002 I was just having fun .

Not really, dual channel doesnt account for a massive surge in performance or anythig.... the on-die memory controller sees to that

If you want a nforce4 ultra I would conisder spending a extra $25 and getting the MSI one instead http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...130-484&depa=1

I personally just not a fan of ECS I have had bad luck with them.

edit: just notice the DFI lanparty nforce 4 ultra a bit cheaper then MSI and also a excelent choice.

The lanparty only $2 more then ECS and I think it a much better choise.

Maybe I just had really bad luck but I have yet to work on a ECS motherboard that have not given me problems.
