Talking would this be true?

i found this site that says that they donate the money from there advertisers to helping poor people in africa when you use there search engine and view the adds. read the link for more info.

http://www.ripple.org/how-it-works.html

is there any way to find out whether they really do pay the money to the charities?

also im using it cos the search engine loads up instantly for me.

when i load google it takes just over a second to load.

does anyone else find this?

thanks

quite a few people to be fair, I myself have done a fair amount of fund raising in the past for some of the african countries. Just because we sit in our comfortable houses living the life of Riley doesnt mean we should forget those far less fortunate than us

according to this blog they do,

http://www.worldchanging.com/archives/006817.html

As long as the ads are there, money is made. As long as they hold to their commitment, every click goes towards the needful. Good site, good find. I'll use it often.

On a side note, you still feel bad. Us, in all our world changing goodness, can't be bothered to do anything but "evil-ad" supported programs. Nothing is free, i guess, even when those who can't afford the price will die. *sigh*

Ditto. If you haven't seen those pictures/movies of them, then you're blocking yourself from part of the world. Their starving and dying and we're sitting in our Mustangs in front of McDonalds eating burgers...

You make it your home page. People come visit. The more people come visit, companies want to advertise on the site. Advertisements cost money. The page owners recieve money from advertisements, and then donated to charity...
