You paid alot more for it then the XtremeGamer without the extras. For those unfamiliar with the model that the poster is referring to the photos can looked over at http://www.newegg.com/Product/ShowImage.aspx?CurImage=29-102-005-03.jpg&Image=29-102-005-08.jpg%2c29-102-005-02.jpg%2c29-102-005-03.jpg%2c29-102-005-04.jpg%2c29-102-005-05.jpg%2c29-102-005-06.jpg%2c29-102-005-07.jpg&S7ImageFlag=0&Depa=1&Description=Creative+S ound+Blaster+X-Fi+XtremeGamer+Fatal1ty+Professional+Series

I was looking at the extra 5 1/4" drive bay panel on an older Audigy series card some time back. But everything I patch in is at the rear of the case for video capturing and other external inputs. If you are temporarily patchiing things in then those can come in quite useful instead of moving the case around.
