Would we really notice the difference between Cat 5E, Cat 5E (Crossover), and Cat 6?

dont use cat5e crossover unless you need a crossover cable. and most ppl wont notice a difference between cat 5 and cat 6 over the internet, but on a local network you would if everything is running gigabit

Gigabit. You mean my motherboard: Gigabyte? He has a different machine, but we need to connect them: File/Internet Sharing.

no, not gigabyte, gigabyte is a brand. gigabit means your computers are able to transfer data at 1000Mb/s, instead of 100Mb/s.

if you really are this unsure, just get the cat6, its like $3 more
