Im looking to buy a new top of the line, hi-end gaming laptop. IM leaning towards the new Alienware Area-51 m9750 because it seems to be one of the best ones out right now. Im planning on getting dual 512MB SLI nVidia 8700M GT. Im not sure what size CPU to get, either a Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T5500 1.66GHz 2MB or a Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T7200 2.0GHz 4MB.
Im also not sure what size system drive would be good for gaming, i was thinking around 120GB? If you guys could help me out in deciding what preferences would be suitable and effecient for gaming without being just superflouos (sp?) and overly pricy; or even if the Alienware Area-51 m9750 is a good buy. I kno you guys kno your stuff. Edit: Whats the difference between 17" WideXGA+ 1440 x 900 LCD & 17" WideUXGA 1920 x 1200 LCD with Clearview Technology |

17" WideUXGA 1920 x 1200 LCD with Clearview Technology supports higher refresh rates and resolution, and isnt as choppy as a widexga. go with the core 2 duo t7200 and 120mb is plenty if it was me i would go higher but i think u will be fine. but to me alienware is a rip off, the dell xps work alot better and more efficient. I had an alienware, and they have shitty customer support, i ordered a warranty and my computer went down two weeks after i bought it, and they said they needed another 50 bucks to add something on to the warranty when im warranty stated they needed to replace it. so i had to rake it to get fixed myself. but dells i pretty much hate desktop wise, but the xps has very much came to my standards.
