Unhappy Dvd driver problems...

Hello everyone

I have a problem with my DVD-RW driver.
I wanted to take some files from 1 dvd-->put them on my computer-->put in a new writable dvd--> and put the files on it.
when I put the dvd in the drive my computer allowed me to open the folder "e:/" which is the dvd and when i tried to "write these files on cd" then the wizard came up asking me for a name for the cd, but when i clicked "next" it said i have to insert the cd! as though it didn't recognize it had one already.
which is pretty strange because when i put the dvd in the drive my mouse pointer turned into a little cd like it did recognize the cd.
what can i do? please help

thanks,
Uneksia.

Welcome to the forums Uneksia
In some cases you cannot use the normal built in windows xp burner thingy to do your dvd's, you will need a burning program such as nero
