Default Running Crysis

Q6700 @ 2.66ghz
8800 Ultra
2gb of DDR3 1067mhz
On board sound card from the p5k3 deluxe wifi
700w Thermaltake

My friends PC btw.

He can't run Crysis on max settings @ 1280x1024.

Is that a bit odd? He was thinking maybe he needs more memory. I'm thinking that the game just requires a ton of gaming power?

I would think he should be able to max it. The 8800GT's can max it. Does he have the latest driver installed?

If he did add ram, over 3.25GB, an 64bit o/s will be needed

Damn... so it's just the game?! Holy crap... that's insane. I didn't think that when I upgrade in Feb/Mar that it's just mandatory to play Crysis on very high. haha

Well they're saying that the 9800GTX will be damn near twice as powerful as the 8800GTX

But you really think the system just lacks the gaming power?
