Question Quake III arena question

How do I play quake III between two computer on a home network? Please help.

firstly you need 2 cds, legal of course

im assuming the computers are networked. in the main menu or under multiplayer there should be a menu called netowork. im going on what other games have as ive never played quake III arena

the computers are networked, there is a multiplayer option and a setup option, under the setup option there is a network option, but all you can do there is set the data rate.

I go to create game and there is not many options. then when I look for games with my other computer none show up

I just had to go into the windows xp firewall and under the allowances, allow quake 3, I should have thought of it a long time ago. Sometimes you overlook the easiest steps.
