Default Startup problem

recently, my computer has been encountering a problem at start up which increase the loading time up to a minute (it was about 10 second previously). this is because of an error message that pop up right after start up.

does anyone know how to get rid of this error message? thank you.

ok i know how but i dnt recommend you attempt this unless you have some prior knowledge with using regedit.exe

basically you would go into your regestry (RUN-> regedit.exe) and you would search strings that have syssetup.exe in it. find it delete it and problems goes away. Mess up and your computer pleads insanity and you must reformat...

ENJOY!!

Try booting in safe mode;
if that startup error does not show up, log off from safe mode and boot in normal mode by using OTHER account on your pc!
(in case you don't have one, try typing 'administrator' for the username and blank for the password).

If the aforementioned step is not valid (it behaves the same eventhough you already boot in safe mode), try booting in The Last Known Good Configuration That Worked.
Then Run>msconfig
-on General tab, if it checks Diagnostic Startup, uncheck it and check Selective Startup.
-on Startup tab, see if there is any program that you find suspicious and uncheck it.

Tell me how it goes!

This may be malware related.

Please post a HijackThis log:
To do so, download the HijackThis installer from http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en...HJTInstall.exe.

Run the installer and choose Install, indicating that you accept the licence agreement. The installer will place a shortcut on your desktop and launch HijackThis.

Click Do a system scan and save a logfile

When the Notepad window opens choose Edit -> Select All to select the entire log, and copy and paste the log into a reply post.
Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet.
