Default 9600 pro overheating

Guys i think my Radeon 9600 pro is overheating.

it hasnt done this on warrock but on BF2 i get all these wierd colours and they are lines and i cant see anything but those and as i move around the map it gets worser.

i managed to get one screenshot, and although theres no lines appearing here look at the wall in that pic.....whats up with it lol

i do have the latest ati drivers,it does the same with Omega drivers also

what should i do?
replace that little fans thermal compound or buy another fan?

Def overheating. I would say just apply new thermal paste and see what it does. The stock cooler should work fine for it.

I thought it might be overheating.....maybe thats why my system has been acting up these past few weeks

actualy i just noticed one of those lines does appear on the screenshot next to tht pipe going into the water on the left of the picture.
but its worser than that.

so what do i do..?

1)take out card
2)remove heatsink
3)get off the old gunk lol
4)replace it thermal paste (how much?
5)put heatsink back on

is those right?
