Default Generic Host Process for Win32

I also have this posted on the internet discussion board, but I think that was maybe the wrong place to post it
I randomly get this error while using my USB modem. When I use my bro's ethernet modem, this doesn't happen.

When the error message occurs, shortly afterword my internet connection will stop working (although the little icon remains active) and music (well sound in general) refuses to work. It happens at any random time, even if left idle.

Any help?
