I've owned the Z-5300e for a year or longer. They are great for gaming and music. They have more power than the G51 but the G51 are newer. I'm very happy with the 5300e and I think you should get those.
The only problem is that I had is with the rear speakers. The cord is not long enough to have them in the rear. I had to get extensions so I could place them in the rear. After that I've never looked back.

So I guess the question is. Can I buy a cheaper sound card and spend more money on a digital converter? Maybe I'm way off...wouldn't be the first time. ![]() |

The way they connect to my pc is basically in an analog way (green, black, beige cable). I have a Creative Lab Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS they are Dolby and THX certify:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=3O2WBV2FO2PQO They have provided my with great sound over the years. Most MoBo with their integrated sound cards have very good sound. When I play games on my PC I'm able to tell if there is someone behind me or an explosion from far off so I've never upgraded. The new X-Fi say that they are much better but I it's hard to really distinguish the difference in sound quality. I would say get an older card like mine but maybe you should ask someone who recently upgraded to those X-Fi cards.
