Default Need help Retrieving IP address

I just recently got my xbox 360 back from repairs and they sent me a new replacement. Now it doesn't have my home networks IP address so I can't get online with it. Some guy helped me do it before but I need to retrieve my wireless network's IP address, its a Linksys wireless router and I can't find anything useful on google that I can understand. Is there like a site I have to go to?

Well I know to get into the linksys router's configuration, you type into your browser 192.168.1.1 and the username and password is admin. You could also click start > run, then type ipconfig/all which will display your IP address.

you might want to try the console forum, I'm sure there's Xbox owners in there who know how to configure wireless for it. But a console owner may check here. Wish I could be of some help, but I do not own one. I will tell you from configuring my Wii, that there should be a settings menu, then a wireless sub menu. You will need your SSID and WEP passcode or WPA phrase depending on your routers security. Generally I would take a look at another computer on a network to find it's settings and just use the same on one I was trying to connect. With eternal rest's advice you should be able to find the information you need. Good luck!

If it is hooked up to a router, the router will act as a DHCP server and assign it an IP dynamically and automatically.
