Windows Media Player -- AXED!!!

I was watching the latenight news a couple of weeks ago and heard that companies are complaining to board of fair trade (or something like that), Their complain was that Windows has a media play preinstalled and that means a lot of users won't puchase a media player...soooo Micrsoft will in the future sell Windows without WMP. I just wanted to know your opinions on that

Why is it coming up now? WMP has been coming with Windows for a long time now. I am glad that WMP come pre-installed with the OS. I hope it continues that way. I also hope the don't start to charge for WMP.
