I have an integrated (into the MB) ethernet adapter and am going to upgrade to a dedicated PCI. When I replace it, should I delete the drivers for the current adapter and then install the new one, loading up the new drivers after I boot up?

there is no need to remove the old drivers, just install the new ones and you good to go
