I purchased a Compaq C502 about 4 months ago, Its a long story but to sum it up its been being repaired more then its been being used, and now it just stopped working again. Im hoping maybe someone can give me a idea of what the issue might be, If its something thats going to be expensive to get fixed Im just going to buy a new laptop. Just give me opinions on what it might be and what it should cost please..
Anyway heres whats going on it worked fine the other day. I closed the lid and let it sit for about 5 hours. then went to use it again, opened the lid and it was off. I was surprised that the battery went dead as normally it takes about 8 hours to go dead when the lid is shut. I plugged it in and the charge light came on I turned the laptop on and it turned off after about 10 sec. then the power light started blinking very fast. I then unplugged it and tried again, and it worked fine. I used it for a couple hours then had to unplug it and move it and when I plugged it back in it never worked again. It would turn on for about 5 sec. then shut down and the power, and battery charging light starts blinking very fast. at this point the only way I can get it to stop is to unplug it and then plug it back in in which it will say its charging and when I turn it on it does the whole turn off lights start blinking thing. After leaving it charging all night I found the battery doesnt seem to be charging as the laptop wont even turn on unless its plugged in. Also now after letting it sit overnight the screen doesnt appear to be turning on when the laptop does..
CL: laptop screen doesnt turn on, battery doesnt charge, laptop turns itself off after about 5-10 sec. of being on and the power and battery charge light start blinking very fast.
