I have a compaq v6210us laptop. Whenever I use it for a couple hours, the E: disappears. When I start my computer, I can use the e: (DVD RW), but after a while, when I try to use it, it says the e: refers to a location that may be unavailable. This has been happening for about three months.

try to update bios first since it is a v6000 series if problem persist update driver of dvd drive at hp.com support drivers.... still having problem do registry editing delete upper and lower filter then restart the laptop to renew and reset config on registry...
