Default Laptop screen Blackout

My girlfriend got a replacement laptop screen for her Dell Inspiron 1505E after the original broke after some idiot (read, me) stepped on it. Her neighbor is a Dell Tech, so she got the screen mailed to her so he could fix it, which he did. He replaced the screen and she ran the diagnostic with no problem. She was on it for about 20minutes and then the screen blacked out. The lights are on, the fans on, the computer is still running, its just the screen is not on for whatever reason. If I restart it, it will stay on for 30seconds to about 2min, it will to the desktop, and everything looks fine until it just goes black. Anyone know what could be wrong? Thanks

probably the transformer. it may not have been installed correctly, or it could be defective. do you still have the old screen, cause im guessing it's transformer would still work.
