I think we're running around in circles with these drivers. I found ones on the unex ftp website. I want you to run the command "lspci" in your terminal. It will give you a very long output. I want you to look for the line says "description: generic usb device" and list the next paste back the next 8 lines underneath it.

Sim, When I go to install the new drivers, it doesn't do anything, it doesn't appear in the 'Currently Installed Windows Driver' thing?

Sim, I tried the Drviers you linked me to, I intalled them. The light came on the USB adaptor, but has now gone out, but I can see a list of networks in the WiFi Radar, including mine!

How do I connect to it?
I have the disconnect option, but no connect?

Right, Well, I've got the internet working on the laptop, only problem is, it's my Mum's USB adaptor, which is also an invental one, but mine doens't work with the laptop, don't know if it's because of the drivers?

Also, I think I installed Compiz, I go to the 'Advanced Desktop Effects', or the compiz settings manager and it's all empty, there isn't anything there?
