Default My Itunes wont open

I reinstalled the updated version but everytime I try to open it a error message comes up saying iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Then it asks if I want to send error report or dont send. I tried unistalling and then reinstalling it again but i'm still having problems

go to start and click on run, then type msconfig go to start up and disable all start up items, then try reinstalling. Could be conflicting with something running in the background.

You will need to reboot after running msconfig.
