I'd recommend a XEON if it's going to be a big server... but a C2D is fine for smaller ones

1000W is overkill, and I'll get you that efficiency will drop so much... that it's not even worth it.
8800GT is better... Getting SLi stuff and not even a Q6600 is... sad... Blu-Ray is horrible in my opinion. Just a big waste of $$$... Get the P35C-DS3R... And a Fatality... Get those 2 PSU's, your electricity bill will increase 2x and I'm betting efficiency will lower sooo much... *you'll find out*
