Default What would be the minimum system requirements...

...for a laptop that I would only use for/with the following things:

Windows 98
Text Editing
Music/Video Player
Wifi Internet (not downloading anything big or visiting any complex sites)

And preferably, a small screen? What I'm asking for exactly is about how much RAM and how fast of a processor would I need (minimally) to do all of the above (not multitasking though)?

I was guessing 40GB, since I'll only use about 20-25 of it (the rest of it probably being for the OS/system/backup/etc.), and if anything, I can get an external hard drive, or just cut back on how much stuff I have on it at once.

Well, I'll tell you that my buddy and I used an old PII 266Mhz with 320 MB of Ram and a 15 GB Hdd, and Windows 2k, that machine worked great! It was a touch slow here and there but for internet purposes it was fine. Obviously I would recommend something a bit better (for Wireless).

Honestly if you just doing the basics something like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/IBM-Thinkpad-T23...QQcmdZViewItem
would be plenty.

Okay, I was just considering 98 because I thought it would save a lot more RAM and memory.
