im thinking that this doesnt need to be too technical. i just wanted a way for me not to have to find all the files again once i reformat.
when i burn the xp iso ill just put the install files on the cd too so i can acces them later. ill have a look at that link too thanks epidemik

yeah pretty much i suppose.
like it would be awesome to have it set up like ubuntu. with a whole heap of stuff already installed. that way it doesnt take me ages to get my pc how i like it after i reformat
