hey guys i just had a new HD installed and i re-installed the OS which was simple....now that its up and running again every so often my screen flashes black, its a very very quick flash less than a second, almost to where you barely notice it. what the heck is the problem?

It could be anything from a video driver to a back door trojan. In the case of the trojan , like sub seven, they would be doing a screen capture. More than likely it is the video driver. What os do you have ? ...and how often does this happen and what are you doing when it happens ? you said you just reinstalled the os ? did you do that or someone else, was it an oem or retail cd or was it a "burnt" copy from the net ?

try to update bios version download it at hp.com support drivers lots of cases on dv 6000 with diferent issues solve by bios update and dont forget to remove external devices like printers and others connected physically in your notebook and use ac powercord to avoid loose of power while on the update process.....
