Default maximum temperature for q6600?

i overclocked mine to 3ghz and fully stressed it, 1 core has reached about 71C while the rest are mid-high 60's, is this alright?

whats your cooling setup like, is it stock, or do you have arctic silver5 with a zalman 9700?

stock, but it never reaches that stress level in any real applications

id say thats OK then, just be cautious....your PC will probably shut off when it hits a certain temp, they generally do that as a safety thing.

yeah i think im fine i have the G0 stepping revision and i often hear of people going 3.4+ on air
