Default First time building, need some advice

I've wanted to build my own for years, but ive never really had the money. Lately ive been doing pretty decent and ive been thinking about it again. So far ive come up with this:

SwordM VD500LBNA (lcs)
or
XaserVI Vg400LBWS (lcs)

Intel DX38BT Motherboard

Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650

1 or 2 Hitochi Deskstar 1 terabyte hard drive(s)

GeForce 8800 GTX

OCZ Dual Channel (2 x 1024) DDR3...maybe double that

so far im around 3 grand and i still need a few things...any ideas in what else i should put in or if i should change anything???

the qx9650 is complete over kill. do you really need to spend over 1000 dollars on it??

ddr3 ram is pointless right now. its a waste of money. just get some decent ddr2.

what is it for? gaming? do you need 2 terabytes storage????
just buy a decent computer now, and save your money for when you need to upgrade it.

It isn't a god. More like a cash waster. The CPU is overkill, the GFX is... horrible and worthless if you use it with the QX9650...

I'd supposedly get 8GB with that...
