Default Can't read Boot error message-too quick to read.

Hello, is there anything I can do to slow down or stop the process so I can read the blue screen error message when I am trying to boot up?
Thanks for help.

Press F8 while booting to get the Boot Options menu. There should be an option there to Disable Automatic Reboot (or something similar).

if you have a digital camera and another PC, take a close-up video clip of it.
you should be able to stop at the exact frame at which the error message shows.

ive done it before, it works

Try hitting the Pause/Break key, and use Esc to resume.

I think the OP's issue is that he/she is getting a BSOD on boot, but that it is rebooting too quickly to read the error message.

That is the correct way to do it.

I think you're right, I may have read through that a little too quickly. Thanks.

Download Memtest86 and scan for errors. Same with a HDD diagnostic software...

Thank you guys! I knew there were things that I could do. Sorry I took a while to get back to the forum, I was at work all day. I tried to log on to reply but forgot my
password. I need to make them easier to remember. I will try this stuff out later tonight
if time permits. John

By the way, I did try to video this message but it came out too distorted to see well.
Maybe if i could steady my hand. That's funny I thought of that already but wasn't
happy with my results.
