what the cheapest possible computer that can be built. It would just be needed for the internet, office, and perhaps burning CDs. I'm wondering how cheap someone can make a pc.

If you want a cheap computer you should be looking at used parts or used computers for under $100.

You can buy used (and old) pentium I and II parts including motherboards, fans, and ram and whatnot for under $100, if not, for free.

My intent was more or less what jimkonow was getting at. Just seeing what people can put together for the money.
