What I did is to press any key.... when the disc loaded all the way, i pressed R. that is what took me to the command prompt

mhmm, and when you get there, you type in fixboot.
im not 100% sure thats what you have to type, but im 95% sure.
id go for it, personally, because if it doesnt boot anyway then what can ya lose?
