Default Rear Speaker Problem

I was forced to do a system restore about two days ago and after I did that my itunes wouldn't play and my creative console wouldn't even open. The only thing I could think of was uninstalling my driver and reinstalling it. I went to creatives site and got the driver update and after it was done I put every setting back to the way it was and now my rear speakers sound as if I am listening music from a mile away. I have a the x-fi xtreme gamer sound card and a thx logitech 5.1 speaker system. The sound also compares to having my systems matrix setting turned on, but it is off. Is this a driver problem and does anyone have any suggestions????? Thank you.
