I bought Vista off of newegg, and want to get in on this deal...
Awesome deal Basically you can get a free 80GB 2.5" Maxtor one touch hard drive. My problem is, when I try to use Microsofts validate process to confirm my copy is genuine, the ActiveX controls don't work quite right. This is what happens to me, in the picture below. I think it is some sort of issue with the settings in Internet Explorer. BTW, I am genuine, I just got my copy of home premium vista today from newegg. Does anyone know how to get it to validate you? And what is wrong with my settings? I would be sooo happy if you do. ![]()

Have you tried a different browser? You can also download the program by choosing alternative method and that should work.

I think is ur internet security program that is probably blocking it, if you look closely to the picture, all the way at the top it says that your security settings is not allowing you to use Active X.
have you try disableling your internet security?

No, I tried right and left clicking but only get "more info" like in the picture.
It is supposed to only work in internet explorer. When I loosen my settings, it automatically allows it I think, instead of asking permission? Could any programs I have be blocking it? Or AVG?
